Marvel Legacy Continues

From the current pages of Previews comes from the past a look at two great comic franchises, Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

First look Jean Grey is coming back; no not the younger version of Jean that was taken from an earlier time but the original Phoenix possesed version. A look back at the power and the glory of the Phoenix and the woman that tried to master that power and failed with it costing her life. The original X-Men morned Jean’s death and went on with their lives but they now realize Jean Grey is back. For what reason we don’t know but how will they and the world deal with it and what about her younger version, how does she play into this story?

The primortal force called the Phoenix has the power to destroy galaxies and she is back. What is her purpose and to what end has this great threat manifest itself. From the mind of Matthew Rosenburg with the art of Leinil Yu comes a story that I hope is worth the price of addmission (or the cost of the comic). Here is the Preview views of the Jean Grey Phoenix below. We’ll learn more when Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey #1 is released on Wednesday, December 27.

Next is the series “2 in One” is being brought back with the title “The Fate Of The Four”. The Fantastic Four members Reed Richards and Susan Richards (Storm) with their family after Secret Wars are multiverse building making new universes with the help of Owen Reece or Molecule Man using his reality or molecule altering powers in a pocket universe or dimension. The Legacy title will re-visit the fate of the Fantastic Four but starting with the two that are currently on earth namely Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They get back together again. Can this mean that we will see the the reunion of the Four, who knows except the writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Jim Cheung.

This is a must get series and possibly featuring the return of the Fantastic Four but we will have to wait till it is in shops on December 13, 2017. Catch the previews of the story below. More news as it breaks from Comics Talk News, stay tuned for more. 🙂 Walt
